Caribbean Thoroughbred Aftercare Reaches Giving Tuesday Goal to Build New Stalls for Retired Racehorses
Río Grande, Puerto Rico — December 9th, 2025 — Caribbean Thoroughbred Aftercare (CTA) is proud to announce that its 2025 Giving Tuesday fundraising campaign has successfully reached its goal, thanks to the generosity of donors across Puerto Rico, the mainland U.S., and abroad.

CTA extends its deepest gratitude to the Candice and Noah Feinberg Charitable Foundation, whose $15,000 matching gift inspired and energized the campaign, as well as to every supporter who donated, shared, and rallied behind the mission of providing safe retirement for off-track Thoroughbreds on the island.

Thanks to this collective support, CTA will begin construction of new stalls in January, allowing the organization to expand its capacity and offer safe shelter to more horses waiting to transition out of racing. These new stalls will directly reduce the waitlist and ensure that more horses can receive immediate care, safety, and a dignified retirement.

“We are incredibly grateful for the compassion shown toward our horses,” said Kelley Stobie, Executive Director of CTA. “This campaign reflects what can happen when a community comes together with heart and purpose. These new stalls will change lives.”

CTA will continue to share updates as construction begins and progresses throughout the new year.

Río Grande, Puerto Rico — Diciembre 9, 2025 — Caribbean Thoroughbred Aftercare (CTA) se enorgullece en anunciar que su campaña de recaudación de fondos de Giving Tuesday 2025 alcanzó exitosamente su meta, gracias a la generosidad de donantes en Puerto Rico, los Estados Unidos y otros países.

CTA expresa su más profundo agradecimiento a la Candice and Noah Feinberg Charitable Foundation, cuyo donativo de $15,000 en fondos pareados impulsó la campaña, así como a todas las personas que donaron, compartieron y apoyaron nuestra misión de brindar un retiro seguro y digno a los caballos pura sangre retirados de las pistas en la isla.

Gracias a este apoyo colectivo, CTA comenzará en enero la construcción de nuevos establos, lo que permitirá ampliar su capacidad y ofrecer refugio seguro a más caballos en lista de espera. Estos nuevos espacios ayudarán a reducir la cantidad de caballos que deben esperar para recibir cuidado inmediato, protección y una transición adecuada a su vida de retiro.
